The videos are designed to complement the book, showing each technique in real time. You can still enjoy them on their own, but for the full experience — including written steps, material lists, and reference images — we recommend pairing them with the book.

Yes! All the tutorial videos are completely free to access. They were created to support readers of Taming Wildlife with Pastel Pencils and to make each step even easier to follow.

Each section includes a “Download Reference Image” button. Simply click it to open the image in a new tab, then right-click and save it to your device. You can print or view it digitally while drawing.

The videos are stream-only via YouTube and embedded playlists for copyright protection. You can, however, view them directly on YouTube in a new tab using the button under each section for full-screen access.

Each animal section lists the exact pastel pencils and materials used in the video. You’ll find details about pencil brands, paper types, and extra tools like blending stumps or erasers.

If you have any trouble accessing a playlist or download, please use the contact form on our site — include the animal name or video title so we can resolve it quickly.

Videos are grouped by animal subject, matching the order in the book. Each subject includes a YouTube playlist showing the entire drawing from start to finish — so you can watch step-by-step or skip to a specific stage.
